Fruits

The cultivated area of the District Toba Tek Singh for fruits production is 44,000 acres. Citrus and Guava are the major production of this district which are not only consumed locally, but are exported in large quantities too.

Citrus

Citrus is divided into different groups i.e. Sweet Oranges, Mandarin, Grape Fruit, and Lemon and Lime which are being grown commercially. Citrus is grown in all four provinces of Pakistan but Punjab produces over 98% of the crop and 80% of it is under Kino. In fact, Kinno has monopolized the citrus farming in the country. We are the no.1 in per acre production of high quality citrus fruits.

In District Toba Tek Singh, cultivated area utilized for different varieties of citrus indicates that about 97.18% of the citrus is covered by Kinno followed by the Feutral (1.33%), Grape Fruit (1%), Sweet Oranges (0.20%), Musambi (0.19%), and others (0.1%). The harvesting season lasts for 4 months starting from mid of December till mid of April.

Vegetables

The cultivated area of the District Toba Tek Singh for vegetables production is 11,087 acres. Okra is a monopoly crop and one thing very unique; Kamalia is the only city where vegetable market (Sabzi Mandi) for auction of Okra is working since many years. Potato is also grown on a considerable area in TTS.
